I have for you, the very rediculous story that my very good friend and I wrote together in a moment of extream bordom. Granted I tried to make it flow a little more than it originally did, but its mostly the same as when we wrote it

the authors are myself nyssa and my mom

Sweat began to pour down Damion's back as he ran. He began to question the reasoning behind his sudden trip to the amazon. Digging in the very recesses of his mind, he found a single word, Miranda.
Miranda, his most and least favorite person in the world. She was his boss. Somone decided to abduct her and he was unfortunatly the one who had to go and find her.
Damion dreaded what lied ahaid...but mostly he feared the Snids. the Snid is an exceptionatly terrifying type of carnivorous bat found only in the deepest darkest part of the jungle. Night was fast aproaching as the motorized canoe labored up the amazon river the blood quickly drained from his face the moment he heard the screach. It was Snid mating season and they were flying about everywhere. Each male was trying to out do the other with the bigger blood prize. Damon pulled the canoe to the shore and quietly hid himself underneath the low hanging branches of a nearby bunyon tree shuddering at the fact he was O- positive.
O- positive, the devils trap when it came to these bats. He scanned the area to find a small
shack, with somthing that looked like a flamethrower leaning against it. Damion lept in the air like the warriors of old and ran tword the shack with the snids close behind. Grabbing the flamethrower, Damion pointed it twords the beasts and pulled the trigger. nothing happened. An allmost deadly mistake fortunatly for him He recognized the on switch in the burning moonlight and blasted them all to he..... well you get the picture. Damion knew he musnt tarry here anylonger so he shot off deeper into the jungle throwing the flamethrower on his back. Unfortunatly the on switch hit his back and engulfed him in flames killing him in an agonizing instant.

Months later Miranda (who hadnt been abducted after all)still torn up over her missing lover tracked damions journy into the amazon only to discover a large black pit and what looked like a right hand still grasping onto a charred flamethrower

tic tic click,..like an old and tired man waking up from a long sleep...the computer begins to boot..two minutes,..three minutes...cant handle the insanity, the thought of throwing this worthless piece of outdated junk out the window, no,...no... cant resort to that. still have to check my e-mail, yeessss the screen came up. okay all I have to do is dial up to the interne...great the screen went black (growl) *click* fixed. dialing up. tap tap tap. oh is that a hangnail, I have just enough time to bite it off before...(arrgh) the screen went out AGAIN! *ClIcK* just have to get to my email address. wahoo only 10 min what a record!!! thank goodness the computer didnt die on me like the las...........

there in a nutshell is why I havent been blogging as of recently-

reason #1 my parents have dial-up
reason#2 there computer dosnt work right, its very old (we are talking close to a tandy!)
reason #3 I am very close to giving it a better reason for not working right other than its age..

this picture cracks me up because Ivan is so out of place on the counter, and yet wants desperately to be just like the other kids. the first time I cooked with him he spent the whole time with a terribly worried expression on his face. I imagine that if he could talk clearly he would be saying,..this is fun but it might not end well.
Every now and then I do wounder if Hannah isn't part fairy after all.

It oftentimes would amaze me that adults would stand around and let the kids have all the fun, climbing trees, playing in the mud, pretending,..ect. I wondered "what was it that happened when adults grew up anyway? suddenly one day you wake up and things are not as fun anymore?" Now that I am older I know its partially exhaustion, but mostly the lack of desire. don't you ever wounder why some adults age faster than others. I have met people in their 30s that seem ancient. Mayhaps they simply stopped remembering how to be young.
so what did I do yesterday other than take blackmail pictures of mine and Emily's kids?
I stayed young, engulfed myself in childish whims (also mud) and drug my friend along for the ride. Wouldn't you have done the same??

After a week and a half without my husband I am beginning to really feel his absance. two nights ago I couldnt figure out why it was taking me so long to fall asleep at night concidering all the walking I have been doing in the sunshine. then it hit me. night time is the only time i have to slow down and realize how much he is missed. daytime is full of kids and meals and excersize but night is when he is truly missed. if you have been reading my blogs online Greg. I cant wait to see you on wednesday. love you!

This is a picture of My little villan, right after he found the newly opened jar of home made blackberry jam and painted the kitchen floor with it. :( last jar of my fav. and here I thought, hoped rather, he was watching a movie or playing nicly with toys. HA
had to throw the little bugger in the tub-I wounder if they make toys out there that look like your not supposed to play with them because he rarely plays with the ones that look like you should.

lately because the computer is being silly (perhaps only the user) I haven't been posting pics as much. To make up for the lack I have been posting more text. I will try to figure out the problem. Nyssa is coming up tonight to hang out with me and watch girl movies, paint toes,..eat too much food, maby we will even compose another winner of a story. the main character in the last one was a woman bent on saving the soon extinct, highly endangered giant mollusk. Quality stuff I tell you what. the one before that was jungle based but the main character was a on escapee being chased by vampire bats who hungered for o positive blood, he accidentally blew himself up while trying to run away with a flame thrower on his back. they make those on buttons in the worst places. So beware my friend, I smell a cheesy story a-commin'

My baby almost died today.

believe me fully when I say this. I am not given to exaggerating important information..he found plastic on the floor and stuffed it in his mouth. I didn't know he had done it. I thought he found one of the left over tums on the floor until I turned to see him struggling. he coughed a couple times but then sucked the plastic far back into his throat. at this point I turned him upside down and was whacking repeatedly on his back. it wasn't working. his face was turning red and I was thinking -This is it-I cant save him. I turned him over and swept his mouth touching the plastic. I knew it was dangerous to try to pull it out because there is a great risk of pushing it further down but with nothing else to do and my baby out of breath I grabbed it and he began to cry, WHAT A CRY! thank you Jesus. My sister in law knows that kid danger rarely leaves me shaken but today I didn't know how it was going to turn out. It took me a while to take it all in (and not be shaky) Praise Jesus is all I can say, and I hope this isn't a preview of my baby's future-freaking his mom out.

for all those of which sentiment causes nausia,..please read no further. Vomit is a substance which is rather hard to scrape from a keybord. as for everyone else, do read on.

Greg left for bolivia yesterday. suprisingly this will be the longest we have been apart..but I have a secreat. I like when he is away, it reminds me how much I need him. not the need you have when you run out of milk or coffee. its that 'addicted to, cant live without it, go through withdrawels for' need. When you get married its like the deep longing for each other is suddenly satisfied, taken care of. fulfilled. And every now and then its nice to long for somthing more meaningfull than a really good chocolate bar. So I say in a rather poetic note

leave me lover, that you may come back.
Go now so I can feel burning my soul has long missed.
Every ache and pang reminds me I have a reason to feel the way I do,
for if I had never known you, I would have never known,
if i had never kissed you, I would have never kissed,
If you had not loved, I would not know love.
remember not to terry
for when we next meet
I will greet you with loves embrace renewed

by anonymous

if this poem is too much,
I would like to remind you of my previous script about sentiment and vomit...you were warned!

My most embarrasing moment

most of you might think "when has she ever been embarrassed?" well my friends reality strikes all of us us with its cold sweaty palm, and my cheeks are very bruised at 26. Granted those moments when you wish someone would roast you with a flame thrower don't come quite as often but, if you know me at all, they still happen. *sigh* thank you imperfection for reminding me of reality. Now mind you there are some terrible moments but this is the one I am most haunted by......

eighth grade winter formal (all those who went to christian school know how often formal dinners come) I wanted to go with someone, but no one had asked me, so what did I do? asked them out. Nice move- to top this tasty cake off I was very chubby and somehow I convinced my wonderful mom I needed a dress like Anne in Anne of green gables (you know puffed sleeves) except in my fave color at the time TEIL..utter mortification. the picture alone makes me shudder, still. Ooch, I looked at it again. I burned all the rest. should have burned this one too, but hey, if you cant look back who's to say you wont make the same mistake again...in red.

What is a true friend? many of you would answer, "A person who isn't afraid of telling me the truth."
But do you mean it? I must say rebuke is never comfortable. Not once has the thought crossed my mind,"gee, wouldn't it be nice if blank told me i was wrong about something?." and yet I like it when my friends are able to be fully honest with me. Grace and honesty are, in my book, the truest of friends. without either they are not whole. but really I would like to know what you think a true friend is....leave a comment...

everyone likes to help out in our kitchen. this morning poppyseed muffins were on the menue. It is rather interesting having all three on the counter concidering the lack of space for the actual act of mixing and baking. however, I do find it helpfull when they go to cleaning the bowl out. as my dad use to say "we let them lick it and then put it back in the cupbord"

im only gonna get older

Aging has never been easy. my husband thinks I am crazy to feel old. Yep, I know I am only 26. The thing that gets me isnt what I look like ( it does contribute) its the whole 'cant stop the ever ticking hands of time.' It started when I was 4-6. The exact date dosnt strike me but I do remember thinking that life isnt going to slow down only speed up. having my dad do all those funerals probubly didnt help. Reality has weighed upon me, and every day grows heavier. No I dont fear death, Gods at my side. Its really time that is the criminal here. So what am I doing about it other than whining like a baby about how old I am getting??? I have set goals for myself...lets call it a pre-bucket-bucket list. somthingI have aspired to do is play my banjo untill I am good (check) another is learn to speak french fluently(not check). on a daily basis its love my family and care for them untill they know it by heart (its a check in progress-try me in the next life) one thing about getting old IS good. no one does it alone! I have the best gruip of people to get old with anyone could have. Great friends to grow wrinkles with, and to say "no you dont look older" when you really do. thanks guys. oh yeah someday I will own a harly!

above is one of the fins, the knuckel of the bone was about the width of my sholers!

at the end of the "what I saw at the beach today" poll I have to say no one guessed quite right. I hold no great love for road kill aside from the occasional porcupine, but I tell you what, the things that wash up on the beach are amazing!! This is probubly the remains of a pilot whale calf, my guess is based upon the fin on the other side. seaside aquariem has a skelaton simular to this only larger. very cool. Oh and if you are woundering..

yes I did try to get one of the segments but it was too fleshy still and i didnt want to rouse suspition by bringing power tools to the beach.
